Useful Info

Heating

All cottages have oil fired central heating, with additional portable heaters and real or radiant fire in the living rooms. Standard heating is inclusive to the tariff from 0650-0930, 1220-1320, 1620-1015 hrs between mid-September to the first week in June.  Additional Full Heating from 0650-0020 hrs is available at £45 per cottage week / per rata.

The following cottages have of wood burning stoves / real fires in fireplaces: The Farmhouse, Ploughman's, Gamekeeper's, Dairymaid's and Gardener's cottages.

Electricity

This is inclusive to the tariff.

Linen

Crisp white hotel bed linen with duvets is provided inclusive to the tariff (we can also supply mattress protectors if required).  Please bring linen for cots. Tea towels, bath mats, bath towels and hand towels are provided, you need only bring beach towels & table linen if required.

Pets

Dogs are welcome accompanied by well-trained owners!  There are plenty of local dog walking areas including some local beaches.  Pets should not be left unattended in cottages.  Excellent local kennels are available for day & overnight boarding.

Bathrooms

All cottages have a minimum of a shower over a bath.  Cottage bathrooms are as described in the individual cottage details.  All shower heads are on adjustable shower rails with a movable hand held head on a flexible hose

Cleaning

All our accommodation is thoroughly cleaned between bookings.

Extra persons

A cot with mattress is available for those pre-booking them, for which there is no extra charge, but please bring your own cot bedding. Except for Carpenter's, Gardener's, Farmhouse and Mariner's cottages, one occasional bed ( for use by a child under 14 years) per cottage can be made available on booking (see booking form). Linen and extra towels are provided and a small extra charge is made. Under no circumstances may more than the maximum number of persons booked occupy the property.

Arrival and Departure Times

Our weekly start day is Saturday; Short Break holidays can start on any day of the week to suit you. Your cottage will be ready for you to occupy anytime after 3pm; please do not arrive early unless by prior arrangement as time is needed for thorough preparation of the cottage.

Travelling directions will be sent on receipt of your balance payment. We look forward to your arrival. Our own house ‘Chynoweth’ is set back from the Green and as resident owners we are always available to assist you.

Please note that you should vacate your cottage by 10am on your departure day.

Alterations

We cannot normally accept an alteration to a booking once we have received the Booking Form and deposit. However, where feasible we will consider requests for an alteration upon receipt of written notification and a £25 alteration fee to cover our administration costs.
